Walk the house, one step at a time

One step on the screen at a time, in the order the season runs. Done, Later, or Not for my house: three big buttons, or swipe.

Make sure the roof vents are open

Soffit, ridge or gable vents let the attic's heat out before it melts snow on the roof. Leaves, paint or insulation pushed against a soffit vent can close it.

How the walk works

The walk deals the steps one at a time, early fall first, then before the first freeze, then the cold snap steps, then leaving for the winter, room by room inside each. Done checks the step off everywhere on the site. Later sends it to the back of the walk. Not for my house takes it out of every list and every count; the end of the walk can bring them back.

On a phone, swipe the card right for Done and left for Later.

Tailor it first

The five questions in Your house take out whole corners at once: no roof to look after, no outdoor faucets, no ducts. The walk, the checklist and the house all read the same answers.

Where it goes

Nowhere. The walk reads and writes the same record on this device as the rest of the site, and nothing is sent.
